Editorial Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Who writes our content

All clinical health articles on PrecisionOptimize are written by licensed pharmacists (PharmD) with demonstrated expertise in the topic area covered. We do not use generalist writers, AI-generated content, or content agencies. The licensed pharmacist credited as the author wrote the article.

Medical review process

Every article undergoes independent medical review by a practicing physician (MD or DO) before publication. The reviewing physician checks for clinical accuracy, flags unsupported claims, and confirms alignment with current standard of care. The reviewer's name and credential are displayed prominently on each article.

Sources we cite

We rely exclusively on primary and authoritative sources:

We do not cite other health content websites as sources for clinical claims. We do not rely on press releases without underlying published research.

Update and accuracy policy

We monitor the evidence base for topics we've covered. When new data emerges — a major clinical trial, a guideline update, an FDA action — we update the relevant articles and update the "Last reviewed" date. Articles that have not been reviewed within 12 months of significant developments in their topic area are flagged for review.

Corrections policy

If a factual error is identified in any article, we correct it promptly and add a correction notice to the article noting what was changed and when. We do not silently edit published content to remove errors.

To report a potential error, contact us at editorial@precisionoptimize.com.

Affiliate disclosure policy

PrecisionOptimize participates in affiliate programs with lab testing companies including Function Health, Ulta Lab Tests, and Walk-In Lab. We may earn a commission when you purchase through affiliate links on this site, at no additional cost to you.

Articles containing affiliate links are disclosed at the top of the article with the following notice: "This article contains affiliate links. If you purchase through these links we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you."

Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial decisions. Our pharmacists recommend products and services they would recommend to patients in a clinical setting, regardless of whether an affiliate relationship exists.

We do not accept sponsored content, paid article placements, or allow advertisers to review or approve content before publication.

Clinical services and editorial independence

PrecisionOptimize is currently an editorial-only site. We publish independent health content and do not offer clinical services at this time. We may offer direct clinical services in the future. If and when that happens, those services will generate revenue — but they will not influence editorial content. Articles are written to inform readers, not to drive traffic to any service.

What we cover

PrecisionOptimize focuses on GLP-1 medications, advanced biomarkers, metabolic health, lab testing, and longevity medicine. Our coverage reflects the clinical expertise of our pharmacist authors — we do not publish outside their areas of specialization. This is a deliberate editorial decision, not an oversight.
